WEB 2.0 with podcasting

Web 2.0 allows a lot more features with pod-casts. Pod-casts are like a TV show but they are not live, the creator can put them up to a website, you-tube channel or even put it onto a media store like iTunes. This would not be possible without the development of WEB 2.0. The user/creator of the podcast usually video record the podcast then use editing software like Sony Vegas to cut out bits, add annotations etc. they then upload the podcast to one of the various sites/stores. Podcast use video, audio and text.10647564_749816021747501_1041222117_n

WEB 2.0 with video conferencing

Video conferencing is where either two people or multiple join together for a voice chat, this can be used either for personal conversations or for business meetings from far distances, allowing them to speak face to face without the cost of traveling. Skype is an example of a video conferencing program. This can be linked with facebook so you can dont have to download the skype program itself, you can just call other users. Thanks to web 2.0 you can do this as with a static web-page you wouldnt be able to insert that kind of technology (audio, video etc) onto a page.

WEB 2.0 with blogs

A blog is a discussion or informal chat. Web 2.0 allows blogs to have a lot more content than they would’ve been able to have without it. You can now add images, video, audio and text. This creates a much more interesting page to look at and interact with. Web 2.0 also adds the feature of a comments section where the viewer can interact and communicate with the author. they can also share and like the blog post. many celebrities have blogs to keep their fans in touch with their personal life and what they are doing. This increases the popularity of blogs massively.fsa

WEB 2.0 with email

Email is a messaging format that is usually connected to accounts like Facebook and word-press, these companies can send you promotional emails, however email can also be used to message friends and family or just other users. An example of this would be when buying off an auction site such as eBay, the two users would communicate using email. Over email the users can send images and text but can only link the videos. You can also email a business about a faulty product that you may want to return.dasdasdas

WEB 2.0 with instant messaging

Instant messaging is the idea of having full conversations over the internet on one site, this is different than email because email do not show the full conversation, instant messaging is from profile to profile, showing the messages in one continuous conversation. Yfacebook_messenger_android_iosou can also send images and voice recordings. an example of instant messaging would be Facebook messenger, this uses the internet to send messages to other Facebook profiles. Some of the messaging services also say when the message has been delivered and read, it sometimes also says when the other person is replying. without WEB 2.0 this would have not been possible as there wasn’t like pages like social media where you could communicate like this.

WEB 2.0 with word processing

Word processing programs such as Microsoft word have been vastly improved due to the introduction of information programs such as Wikipedia, where you can find big documents about almost anything, you can copy and then paste the information onto the word processing document. you can also insert the images from the website onto the word processing document to go with the text. Due to updates now there are many customizable areas within a word document. examples of this would be the font, color, background, text size and many many more. Some fonts can also be collected of the internet and then inserted onto the document.microsoft-word-logo

WEB 2.0 with vlogs

Vlogs are self recorded videos that talk to their viewer. They may be explaining, answering or just talking about normal conversations. some ‘vloggers’ may have their own website to upload these videos to or they may upload it to their personal you-tube channel. They can also edit their vlogs by using editing software like Sony Vegas etc. they can add images, text etc to the video. they can also crop the video to make it shorter and skip out the bits they don’t want. editing software like Sony Vegas.dsaddas

WEB 2.0 with websites

Web 2.0 has helped websites also, they have become a lot more lively with lots and lots of features. Some websites have lots of different types of content at one time, like it will have audio, images, text etc at one time, this happens on social media often as one user may upload and image, another may upload a video with a caption (text) this gives you text, audio and a image all on one page so if you are connected to many other users you will get a lot of different types of content. some websites mainly concentrate on one specific type of content. an example of this would be you-tube; this website was created for sharing videos with people around the world, it has also got short texts explaining the video and maybe an image for you profile but that’s about it in terms of different types of content sadadasd

WEB 2.0 with presentation software

Web 2.0 has helped presentation software a lot, i has helped allow the user of the software to add multiple new features, coming in many different forms. this helps the presentation as they can use multiple ways of presenting the object/design etc they are doing. Web 2.0 has allowed sharing of audio, video, texts, images and many more different types of content. this content can be found on web pages like you-tube. websites like Google are search engines and you can search for images that appear on the Google website but have actually been posted on another website, meaning you don’t have to go onto the website, just search for it. fdfdsfs

web 2.0

Web 2.0 describes www (world wide web) usually known as the second stage of development of the internet where most static web pages have been replaced/changed to dynamic or user-generated content. a web 2.0 site allows users to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators of user-generated content in a virtual community. Web 1.0 only allowed the basic viewing of the static page.

This change is very beneficial to web pages as it allows the creator of the page to add more features to the page, thus creating a more interactive space, that is also easier to share and communicate with other people on the www. examples of web 2.0 pages would be things like you-tube, Facebook and Wikipedia as they have many different types of content like images, video, text and audio. this would not be possible on the earlier stages of the webs development (web 1.0).
